Cozy Mystery
Doyle is becoming a popular Cozy Mystery
The UPS man carried heavy boxes of my new Cozy Mystery … Doyle Mysteries novels to the front door of my studio. I smiled and thanked him. I was excited to see how my printer did with the covers. I worked many hours on creating the background from one of my beach photographs, and selected a soft matte finish instead of the standard glossy.
I was so pleased with the results. This novel is a cozy mystery and unlike some of my other books it is filled with a host of fictional characters from Huron County, Michigan. Doyle is a master chef and he creates Mediterranean meals for himself and his friends. There is nothing harsh about the this novel, and the cover conveys that softness.
At this time I am working on the next cover for this series. This time I will do an original painting depicting the Caseville Shanty Days ice fishing contest… snow, ice, and of course fishing shanties. In a few weeks, I will post the results and I plan on having the novel ready for Christmas sales. Well, back to work. The novel won’t write itself so I better get back to work. Hope everyone has a good Labor Day Weekend.
